Multiple fully funded Ph.D. scholarship opportunities are available starting at Spring 2022/Fall 2022. Successful candidates are expected to carry out research in one or more of the areas:
· Machine learning (e.g., reinforcement learning) for control and optimization
· Computational intelligence algorithms and theories
· Smart grid and microgrid energy management
· Cyber physical autonomous systems
We are particularly interested in highly-motivated students with a strong research background and capability. Ideal candidates are expected to have:
A M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering. At least a B.S. degree in related areas
Strong mathematical background in modeling, optimization and analysis
Hands-on experience in computer programming, such as Python, C++ and/or Matlab/Simulink
Good communication and writing skills will be a plus
