In this project you will investigate high-level automation and coordination of multiple autonomous vessels whist simulating an urban environment context. You will hereby focus on algorithmic and experimental research to increase the performance, efficiency, safety and reliability of a fleet of autonomous ships. Further, you will investigate scaling up towards real-size urban freight vessels in different cities for validating and assessing the shipping performance and corresponding technologies in collaboration with the AVATAR industrial and academic partners from The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
