PhD position is immediately available at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA, on the topic of application of control systems theory and deep learning on biomedical problems. The position is a Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA) and includes a stipend of $22,000 per year, plus full tuition support, and health insurance. The offer is valid for one year and renewable for additional years depending on the performance of the student.
Qualifications: Successful candidate must have a solid background on control systems theory.
Additional background on deep learning, system identification, and biomedical problems is a plus. Applicants must hold, or be about to complete, a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in ECE or related areas. Good written and oral English language skills are required as well.
Dates: Beginning immediately in Spring 2022 (January 2022).
