Several PhD positions are available in our lab at the school of computer science in the University of Oklahoma. The overall research in our lab is focused on data-driven computational neuroscience where we use various techniques from machine learning, signal processing, graph theory and dynamical systems theory to transform recordings of brain activity (EEG, fMRI) into meaningful knowledge about the underlying processes of the brain.
Interested candidates should have a solid background in at least one of the mentioned technical topics, be familiar with either python or MATLAB, and have an interest in neuroscience. Prior experience in computational neuroscience is not required, but desired. If you are interested in joining our lab, please send your CV, transcripts, and any demonstrating materials (such as relevant papers) with the subject line “[Name][PhD Application]” to sinakhan@ou.edu.
