The Institute of Control Science and Technology (CST) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), China invites applications for multiple tenured or tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks. We seek ambitious and creative candidates in (i) nonlinear control theory, (ii) multiagent/distributed control systems, (iii) autonomous systems and robotics, and other related areas in control science and technology. The successful candidates are expected to build strong and independent research, advise graduate and undergraduate students, publish in archival journals, and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in control and automation systems. Senior candidates are expected to play leadership roles in research and education efforts. Globally competitive salaries and attractive start-up packages will be provided to all new faculty hires.
The CST institute at SUSTech was founded and directed by the Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Guangren Duan, and is currently under rapid development with tremendous support from the university and Shenzhen. The institute focuses on control theory and its various emerging applications, aiming to become one of the best internationally renowned control groups in the near future.
