There is a Postdoc position in the area of a cooperative state estimation, navigation, and distributed controls for mobile robots, including automated driving systems at the Networked Optimization Diagnosis and Estimation (NODE) lab, University of Alberta:

The research project will develop a reliable distributed state estimation and navigation system for connected autonomous robots, considering computational constraints and uncertainties in local visual-inertial solutions. This project will involve collaboration with partners at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), School of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. This position requires mentorship of Master's and PhD students.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Keen interest and/or experience (coursework, research, and/or industrial) in: networked control systems, deep learning, and SLAM, as well as Python/C++ skills and ROS are assets
- Proven ability to work independently
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English
