One research assistant position available within the Dynamic Systems and Control research area of Mechanical Materials and Aerospace Engineering department of Illinois Tech’s Armour College of Engineering. The student will work under Dr. Baisravan HomChaudhuri in the research area of learning-based distributed control methods for safe and energy-efficient operation of heterogeneous robotic systems (such as connected and automated vehicles).
Successful candidates would have a strong background in optimization, distributed optimization, stochastic model predictive control, probability theory, uncertainty quantification, and data-driven learning methods. Applicant to this position should already have completed (or will soon complete) a Master’s degree in systems and controls.
Expected Start Date: Spring 2022.
