A short-term position as Researcher in Digital twins for automation, is available at the research group on Cyber-physical systems at the Department of Computer science and Communication, of Østfold University College, Norway.
The appointment is for six months, with a planned start date of the 1st of December 2025. Subject to availability of continued funding from the University College, there is a possibility for extending the employment contract by a further six months. For a candidate with a PhD, the salary will approximately equal that for a postdoc. For a candidate without a PhD, the salary will approximately equal the stipend for a beginning PhD student.
The work shall involve:
- creating dynamical system models of an industrial process involving mechanical components,
- designing prototypes of digital shadows of the process,
- designing control laws for automating the process, and,
- taking main responsibility for writing and submitting a proposal to an external funding agency.
