Dear colleagues,
We are looking for a motivated and well prepared PhD student to join us on the project "Control and Communications for Human-Machine Collaboration" at The University of Sydney in Australia. This project is funded by the Australian Research Council, and the student will be jointly supervised by Prof Daniel Quevedo, Prof Yonghui Li and Dr Wanchun Liu.
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of systems control, telecommunications, machine learning and control-oriented modelling of human behaviour. Beyond fundamental underpinnings, proof-of-concept experiments will be developed to promote understanding and demonstrate the potential of ideas to tackle intricate manufacturing challenges.
The successful candidate will receive a tuition fee scholarship for up to 3.5 years and, in addition, will be awarded a tax-free scholarship for 3.5 years at the RTP stipend rate (currently AUD $41,753 in 2025) subject to satisfactory academic performance.
