CentraleSupélec is an engineering Higher Education Institution under the authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry, and Digital Technology. Its primary missions are training high-level scientific general engineers, research in engineering and systems sciences, and executive education.
The Rennes Campus, where the position open, is an academic department at CentraleSupélec whose educational scope covers Computer Science, Electronics, and Control for the 3-year CentraleSupélec Engineering Program and Masters in collaboration with Université Rennes.
The position is open in the Automatic control team of IETR Laboratory which is a joint unit between CentraleSupélec, CNRS, INSA Rennes, Université Rennes and Université Nantes in the field of Information and Electrical Engineering.
Academic profile:
The candidate will engage with courses on dynamical systems, control, learning and data analysis, and power systems that form part of the CentraleSupélec engineering program. He/she will be mainly involved in teaching their contributions to sustainable development. He/she will also participate in the supervision of student projects and workshops on these domains.
The ability to teach in English is expected.
Research profile:
The candidate will join the Automatic Control team of IETR Laboratory, whose research activities are devoted to designing control algorithms for energy management. The candidate will be expected to develop research in data analysis and learning from operational data to improve the adaptability and performance of energy management systems.
