I am excited to announce that I will be joining the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Southern University as a faculty member in Fall 2025. I am currently seeking highly motivated
1 MS / 1 PhD students to join my research group, with start dates in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.
🔬 Research Areas
Our lab focuses on cutting-edge problems at the intersection of robotics, optimization, and real-time systems. Specific topics include:
- Near-optimal multi-robot operation systems under uncertainty
- Adaptive and distributed multi-robot coordination with physical constraints
- Predictive modeling with partial and real-time data collection for decision-making
🛠️ Project Overview
Selected candidates will work on interdisciplinary, hands-on research projects with applications in mobile robotic systems, spanning:
- Autonomous robotics
- Multi-robot automation
- Real-time data analytics and sensor-driven decision making
The goal is to conduct impactful research grounded in engineering principles, with strong emphasis on experimental validation and publication in top-tier conferences and journals.
🎓 Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in robotics, optimization, and system modeling.
- Experience with programming (Matlab, C++, or Python) or hardware integration (Arduino, sensors, microcontrollers) is a plus.
- Students will be admitted to the MS or PhD program in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Southern University.
💰 Funding & Support
- The PhD position is fully funded (tuition and stipend) for the first two years, renewable based on performance.
- The highly qualified MS student is eligible for funding (tuition and stipend) for two years depending on qualifications and availability.
