A fully funded PhD position is available immediately at Polytechnique Montreal within the automatic control group. The position will conduct cutting-edge research in one or more of the following areas:
- Multi-agent and networked control systems
- Online estimation of nonlinear systems
- Robotic localization and navigation
- Control under information constraints.
The selected candidate will be affiliated with the Department of Electrical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal and GERAD, a leading multi-university research center on decision systems. Experimental facilities are also available with the Mobile Robotics and Autonomous Systems Laboratory. ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field. Good communication skills, a strong foundation in mathematical methods and/or hands-on skills relevant to areas such as control theory, robotics, machine learning, signal processing, optimization, or related fields, are desired. For this position, students with a background in robotics, multi-agent systems, and nonlinear systems, are preferred.
