The Department of Electrical Engineering at Polytechnique Montreal is seeking applications for the tenure-track position of assistant or associate professor. Outstanding candidates for a full professor position will also be considered. Candidates should have the ability to conduct cutting-edge research at the international level, with excellent communication skills, an interest in industrial collaborations and a passion for engaging and innovative teaching.
This position should be filled by a candidate whose expertise and research program are focused mainly on information theory, coding theory, machine learning theory or signal processing theory for new applications such as the study of statistical and algorithmic principles of machine learning, the interpretability of machine learning, collective intelligence, quantum technologies, millimeter and terahertz-wave wireless communications, distributed systems, and large-scale information networks, with a particular emphasis on security, privacy, reliability and connectivity. The Department of Electrical Engineering has an interest in research programs involving fundamental or practical aspects, including implementation, analysis and experimental evaluation of algorithms, of information theory, coding theory, machine learning theory or signal processing theory.
