Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce that our upcoming CPS-IoT Week conference will be held in Irvine, California. CPS-IoT Week is the premier event on Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet-of-things research. It brings together four top conferences, HSCC, ICCPS, RTAS, and (for the first time this year) SenSys, multiple workshops, tutorials, competitions, and various exhibitions from both industry and academia. The CPS Week program covers a multitude of complementary aspects of CPS and reunites the leading researchers in this dynamic field from 6 to 9 May 2025.
What’s new in 2025?
• Here's the updated paper submission deadline: November 14th for all four conferences. Please consult the individual conference websites for additional information regarding abstract deadlines.

• IPSN, IoTDI, and SenSys are merging into one conference!
Three leading conferences — ACM SenSys, ACM/IEEE IPSN, and ACM IoTDI — are merging into a single premier event under the new name SenSys: Embedded Artificial Intelligence and Sensing Systems. This unified conference will focus on advancing research at the intersection of sensing systems and embedded artificial intelligence. Originating from distinct yet complementary research areas, these three conferences have driven innovation across multiple disciplines, including sensor networks, embedded systems, mobile computing, wireless communication, signal processing, data science, and AI-driven applications. As intelligent sensing systems continue to permeate diverse research domains, the necessity for a unified, high-impact forum has become apparent. The new SenSys conference will provide a comprehensive platform where researchers and industry professionals can converge to present state-of-the-art research, exchange novel ideas, address key challenges, and shape the future of the field.
ACM SenSys 2025 will mark the inaugural combined event, merging SenSys, IPSN, and IoTDI, but retaining the current SenSys name (Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems) due to the time required for institutional approvals. SenSys 2025 will be collocated with CPS-IoT Week 2025, providing a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange. All accepted papers this year will be published in the ACM SenSys proceedings. We are exploring the possibility of introducing multiple submission deadlines in the future.
• HSCC New Special Track: Generative AI for CPS!
Generative models, including diffusion models, transformers, foundation models, etc., have demonstrated remarkable potential across various domains, from content creation to complex decision-making. Notable examples include the use of diffusion models for trajectory generation and large language models (LLMs) for situational awareness and planning. However, the application of generative AI in cyber physical systems (CPS)—such as robotic systems, autonomous vehicles, aerospace systems, healthcare, and critical infrastructure—introduces unique challenges and opportunities. This special track invites cutting-edge research contributions that explore the integration, safety, robustness, and other technical challenges of generative AI in CPS, aiming to advance the state of the art in this rapidly evolving field.
• ICCPS New Special Track: Medical CPS!
This track calls for submissions in topics related to the development and application of CPS technologies in medical-device and healthcare systems. Submissions across the entire application spectrum, including but not limited to studies that address problems in wearable devices as well as their integration in an end-to-end information and decision system, are welcome.
• New PhD Forum!
We are happy to announce the 2025 CPS-IoT Week Ph.D. Forum that will take place across all four participating conferences. The Ph.D. Forum will provide Ph.D. students in their final years with the opportunity to present their Ph.D. work in either an oral or a poster presentation. Participants will receive feedback from senior members in the field on their presentation and their Ph.D. research, including career advice. There will be a call for proposals based on which Ph.D. students will be selected in a competitive process for oral and poster presentations. The Ph.D. Forum will additionally be accompanied by a Best Presentation Award for the best oral presentation in each conference.
• ACM Student Research Competition!
The SIGBED community invites participation in the ACM Student Research Competition (SRC), which will be held at the Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet of Things Week (CPS-IoT Week) event in May 2025 and co-located with it. You can find more information on the ACM Student Research Competition site (https://src.acm.org/). More details on the deadlines and format will follow!
• The deadline for the call of workshops, competitions, and other events is earlier!
Researchers from academia and industry are invited to submit proposals for workshops, tutorials, and competitions to be held as part of CPS-IoT Week 2025. The proposal submission deadline is November 8, 2024, with the notification of acceptance on November 15, 2024. For more details, please visit: https://cps-iot-week2025.ics.uci.edu/calls.php#main
