A fully funded PhD position is available at L2S, Centralesupelec, Université Paris-Saclay, starting at Fall 2021/Winter 2022. This PhD position will be financed by Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR).
The research field is in quantum control, a field between mathematical physics, control theory, probability and quantum physics. The adaptation of the techniques used in estimation and control of classical systems is a critical step for the development of quantum technologies. However, in the quantum world, we are faced with new problems that have no equivalent in the study of classical systems, hence innovative tools specific to the field of control and estimation of quantum systems are required.
We are looking for a talented candidate who is passionate about research on such an interdisciplinary field, with a very good english skill and a master (or equivalent) degree in applied mathematics, mathematics, control theory/engineering, mathematical physics. We will receive the application until the position is filled (preferably before the end of August) and will review the application from the beginning of July.
