"Artificial Intelligence for the Industrial transition towards sustainability: combination of AI in Life Cycle Assessment studies"
Climate change and its negative environmental, economic, and social consequences require industries to adopt innovative solutions capable of guiding them towards sustainable and competitive development. The urgency is such that it is necessary to develop new tools to support companies in the green transition more quickly and effectively. The methodology that has emerged as the most authoritative in this context is Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which, however, still has several limitations related to the enormous amount of data that needs to be collected, the costs of its implementation, and the reliability of the results for decision-making purposes.
The research grant intended to be announced under the title "Artificial Intelligence for the Industrial transition towards sustainability," also through real applications in case studies, through the investigation of possible integrations and applications of AI and LCA, aims to lay the groundwork for overcoming these limitations.
