PhD position opportunities are available in the field of estimation, control, and decision-making for multi-agent systems. We are looking for dynamic and skilled candidates to engage in projects focusing on estimation and control tasks applied to ground and aerial vehicles for object tracking and surveillance in safety-critical environments.
Key Objectives: To design and develop algorithms for estimation, control, optimization, and decision-making tailored specifically for agent-based systems operating within safety-critical environments. These algorithms will be engineered to navigate through challenges posed by information uncertainty, unreliable message passing, and adversarial actions, ensuring robust performance even in the most demanding circumstances.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in systems control.
• Familiarity with signal processing techniques
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques, specifically reinforcement learning.
• A problem-solving mindset.
The available PhD positions are highly competitive, offering successful candidates a substantial funding package along with additional benefits. If interested, please reach out to Prof. Mohammad Pirani at mpirani@uottawa.ca with your statement of interest and CV.
