The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago (Chicago, Illinois) invites applications for a postdoctoral Principal Researcher (PR) position. The PR is expected to conduct research at the intersection of operations research, theoretical computer science, control, and optimal transport to work with Prof. Bahar Tașkesen (Chicago Booth School of Business).
By the start of the appointment, all candidates must be at least ABD in mathematics, applied mathematics, operations research, computer science, or a related discipline, and have a good intuition and understanding of the analysis of first-order optimization methods, statistical learning, control theory, and/or optimal transport. A PhD must be obtained by the end of the first year of employment.
The term of appointment will be one year with competitive salary and benefits and the possibility of one or two additional years contingent upon the availability of funding and
satisfactory performance. The term of appointment may commence anytime on or after Fall 2024.
