In the Robotics and Nonlinear Control team of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, we are seeking two postdoc researchers on the topic of AI-based coopetitive control of networked multiagent systems. A coopetitive system includes both a system-level, cooperative objective, and partially conflicting individual agent goals. The postdoc projects lie at the exciting intersection of artificial intelligence and machine learning, systems and control theory, and networked systems; and the postdocs may work on applications in automated vehicles, epidemic or climate change management. The projects are in close cooperation with the Universite de Lorraine and CNRS, France, and travels to these institutions are expected. Salaries are around 2300 EUR netto/month, and additional benefits include access to cutting-edge robotics hardware and computing infrastructure, funded conference travels, and more. Cluj-Napoca is the "Silicon Valley of Romania" and a recent EU study puts it in the top-10 European cities for quality-of-life satisfaction.
Candidates should have a proven track record with publications in top journals and conferences in control, machine learning/AI, or networked systems. One position starts summer 2024, and the second in the beginning of 2025, and they are both scheduled for 16 months; starting dates are flexible. Candidates must have a final PhD diploma or equivalent. Please email lucian.busoniu@aut.utcluj.ro and constantin.morarescu@univ-lorraine.fr with your application, including a CV (preferably 2 and no more than 3 pages) and a complete list of publications, in which you highlight at most 2 papers that you consider high-quality and representative of your work in relationship with one of the following topics: decentralized control; optimization; game theory; data based control; AI and machine-learning based methods; epidemic, automated vehicle or climate change management.
Thank you,
