Announcing 17th International Workshop on Variable-Structure Systems
Dear Colleagues,
The 17th International Workshop on Variable-Structure Systems (VSS 2024), to be held on October 21 - 24, 2024, aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to share new scientific and technological results in the areas of variable-structure systems and sliding-mode control. Submissions falling into the following scope of the conference are welcome:
Theory of sliding mode control and observation
▪ First order sliding mode
▪ Higher order sliding mode
▪ Chattering analysis
▪ Discrete time sliding mode
▪ Adaptive sliding mode
▪ Sliding mode based fault detection
Applications
▪ Automotive systems
▪ Hydraulic/pneumatic systems
▪ Electric drives and actuators
▪ Power electronics
▪ Multi-agent systems
▪ Mobile robots

Another important piece of information: VSS-2024 will be held in Abu Dhabi the next week after a major robotics conference IROS-2024. So, some of you may wish and have an opportunity to attend both.
