A funded Ph.D. position is available in the Autonomous Robots and Systems Laboratory (https://arsl.charlotte.edu/) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte starting in Fall 2024. Our research focuses on the design of motion planning and control algorithms for unmanned atmospheric and marine vehicles, including multi-vehicle systems. This opportunity will provide a graduate student with exposure and training in several areas relevant to robotics, including: vehicle dynamics, estimation, control, graph theory, optimization, and motion planning. The student will also gain practical experience developing and deploying autonomous aerial or marine vehicles.
