The Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering (ACSE) invites applications from talented and enthusiastic students for competition-funded PhD Studentships and Scholarships, for a September 2024 start.
We are an innovative, dynamic and high-reaching department that is renowned for encouraging multidisciplinary research activities involving partners from academia as well as the public and private sector, including Unilever, IBM, the UK National Health Service, National Grid, Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Siemens, Jaguar Land Rover, Ricardo, GKN Aerospace and more. Our fundamental research and knowledge-based activities are aligned with societal challenges of our times. We seek to develop innovative solutions to address global challenges in a diverse range of application fields from Life Sciences and Healthcare, Energy and the Environment, to Manufacturing, Aerospace and Infrastructure.
