The Institute of Automatic Control at the Leibniz University Hannover offers one Postdoc position in the area "Data- and Learning Based Control for Biomedical Applications" starting March 1, 2024 or later. The scope of work includes – depending on the interest and expertise of the applicant - different research activities in the context of data- and learning-based control as well as its application in the areas of biomedical engineering and systems medicine, especially within the ERC Starting Grant project Cont4Med (https://www.irt.uni-hannover.de/de/cont4med). This includes both basic research, such as the development of new data- and learning-based methods with rigorous stability and robustness guarantees, and the application of such methods in various biomedical applications. Participation in teaching activities is also expected.
We offer a competitive salary according to the German pay scale TVL-13, including social benefits.
The candidate is expected to hold a Doctoral degree in control engineering with a main focus on data- and learning-based control or an adjacent area, ideally with application to biomedical problems.
