The next round of Newton International Fellowships from the Royal Society should open in January 2024 with deadline in March 2024. We have experimental facilities with two test vehicles (a Kia Niro EV and a Toyota Prius PHEV) for experimental research on this exciting topic.
This fellowship from the Royal Society is for non-UK scientists who are at an early stage of their research career and wish to conduct research in the UK for of a period of up to 3 years. To be eligible to apply you must:
- have a PhD, or will have a PhD by the time the funding starts (between October 2024 and March 2025)
- have no more than seven years of active full time postdoctoral experience at the time of application (discounting career breaks, but including teaching experience and/or time spent in industry on research)
- be working outside the UK
- not hold UK citizenship
- be competent in oral and written English
The application is developed with the support of a UK sponsor, in this case, University of Southampton, who would work with the lead applicant to develop the project proposal and provide mentoring, support and guidance.
