A PhD position is available at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Quebec in Outaouais, Canada. The recruited PhD student is expected to conduct research in the area of nonlinear and PDE-based control of flapping-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (FWUAVs). The candidate would ideally have:
- A M.Sc. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Automatic Control and/or Robotics
- A solid background in nonlinear control/estimation theory, geometric mechanics and control, PDE-based modelling and control
- Hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink and embedded control systems
- Previous research experience in the field (e.g., high-quality publications)
- Excellent performance in the related courses (GPA higher than 3.5)
