The William E. Boeing Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at the University of Washington (A&A)invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position with a nine-monthservice period, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2024. Candidates are being considered for cluster hires within the College of Engineering in the general area ofspace systems and infrastructure networks (SSI-NET) which includes all aerospace research areas relatedto space systems, spacecraft, and space environments. Areas of particular interest include, but notlimited to, on-orbit and in situ manufacturing, novel space structures and materials, space robotics,learning and autonomy for space applications, remote sensing and spaceborne imaging, smart habitats,and space constellations. Candidates will be expected to complement existing A&A research areas andacross campus. While the SSI-NET cluster extends over multiple departments, this particular hire will havea primary appointment and teaching responsibilities in Aeronautics & Astronautics.
