The laboratory of research in optimization, learning, and energy (ROLE), led by Dr. Ming Jin in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech has one fully funded postdoctoral research position starting in fall 2021. The position is initially for one year with possibility of extension.
The goal of ROLE lab is to enable trustworthy learning and control for safety-critical systems. Towards this goal, we develop fundamental methods in the areas of machine learning, control, and optimization. Successful candidate should have strong mathematical skills and publication records in these domains.
