Several open positions are available for PhD students at Velni Lab in the School of ECE at Univ. of Georgia. The positions are available for Spring 2022. The topics and the desired background are as follows:
(1) Physics-informed Learning and Safe Control (background in optimization theory, machine learning and model predictive control (MPC) is desired); (2) Stochastic Hybrid Control Design for Mass Deployment of Autonomous Vehicles (background in hybrid control systems theory and statistical machine learning is desired); (3) Development of a Big Data Analytics Pipeline for Precision Agriculture (background in machine/deep learning theory and big data analytics is desired).
