We are looking for two highly motivated and talented postdoctoral fellows to join our research team. The positions are available in the following research areas at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China, and will involve working on Cyber-Physical Renewable Energy Systems and Smart Grids.
- Intelligent Condition Monitoring of Cyber-Physical Renewable Energy Systems
- Resilient Control of Cyber-Physical Renewable Energy Systems and Smart Grids
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and experiments related to the mentioned projects;
- Collaborating with other researchers on related projects;
- Writing reports, publications and presenting research findings at scientific conferences;
- Co-supervising and mentoring graduate students.
Requirements:
The successful candidate(s) should:
- Possess a PhD (within the last three years) in systems and controls, electrical, mechanical, or a related discipline.
- Have a strong background and research experience in one or more of the following areas: control, optimization, machine learning, cybersecurity, and, ideally, energy systems such as wind turbines and smart grids;
- Be proficient in Python, C++, and/or MATLAB/Simulink;
- Have publication record in relevant scientific journals;
- Be proficient in written and spoken English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Have an affinity for teaching and guiding students;
- Be under the age of 32 (the age limit can be relaxed to 35 for outstanding applicants; This condition is applied by the supporting grant).
Conditions of employment:

- An annual salary of at least RMB 200,000 (~ 30,000 USD) (RMB 200,000 + School or team support).
