Position 1: Task- and Domain-specific Navigation for Aerial Robots
Project description and responsibilities:
Research on robot navigation and path/motion planning algorithms
Experience in robot simulation (e.g., Gazebo, Microsoft AirSim, NVIDIA Isaac Sim)
Active contribution to open-source software repositories addressing the above topics
Writing scientific papers for journals and conferences
Teaching on the order of 4 teaching hours (SWS) per week
Your qualifications:
M.Sc. degree from a top-tier university in the field of control engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or similar
Excellent written and spoken English
Experience in motion/path planning algorithms for robots
Experience in software-related engineering tools and programming languages (e.g., C/C++ and Python)
Experience in Robot Operating System (ROS) is a plus
Hands-on experience in robot applications, visual sensor, stereo, and depth camera systems is a plus
Independent and team-oriented approach to work
