The Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering (ACSE) invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Machine Learning and Control Theory.
We are looking for an innovative and visionary researcher who is able to develop, lead and sustain research of international standard at the intersection between machine learning and control theory, contributing to the theoretical and methodological foundation of autonomous intelligent systems capable of learning and functioning robustly in complex changing environments.
You will hold a PhD in a relevant subject area or have equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate potential to conduct world-leading research. Experience in managing research projects, the ability to develop cross-disciplinary collaborations and a willingness to contribute to the collegiate life in the Department, University Research Institutes and Research Centres are essential.
In addition to establishing and maintaining a world-class research profile through high-quality research publications, research grant income and impact generation, the postholder will be expected to contribute to the department’s undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes and to the supervision of PhD students.
