I have a PhD position in cyber-security + control theory in electrical/computer or civil/environmental engineering departments at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
Ideal candidates should have a solid background in cyber-security and control theory, although exceptional candidates who have background in either areas are encouraged to apply.
Furthermore, to apply you must have strong skills in some of the following areas.
- Mathematics: multivariable calculus, analysis, linear algebra, probability and random variables
- Control theory: a graduate-level understanding of linear systems theory
- Cyber-security
- Optimization
- Excellent programming skills
- Good communication skills
