A PhD position is available at the Laboratory of Robotics and Autonomous Systems (LaRSA, https://larsa.uqo.ca/) at UQO, Gatineau, Canada. This position is part of an industrial research project with Impossible Metals Inc. Canada. The PhD student will work closely with the academic research team (Prof. A. Tayebi and Dr. S. Berkane) and the industrial partners to develop novel estimation algorithms for cooperative localization for multi-AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles) navigating in subsea environments. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain a strong theoretical background in control systems and robotics while gaining practical hands-on experience with autonomous underwater vehicles.
Students with a strong background in applied mathematics, robotics, and control systems are encouraged to apply. Please send your CV to: soulaimane.berkane@uqo.ca. Only selected students will be contacted.
