It is my pleasure to invite you to the workshop "Skills and Perspectives for Early Career Development: Working Towards a Diverse and Inclusive Work Environment" that will take place on 5 December 2022, the day before the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC 2022).
Among the invited speakers and panelists are: Juncal Arbelaiz (Princeton University), Angela Fontan (KTH), Hideaki Ishii (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Karl H. Johansson (KTH), Kristi Morgansen (University of Washington), Francesca Parise (Cornell University), and Stefano Di Cairano (Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs).
There will be an interactive work session lead by co-directors of the EMPOWER program at UC Berkley, Fatima Alleyne and Chaniqua Butscher.
The workshop also offers training and coaching for a successful career in R&D: interviewing, negotiating, networking, understanding group dynamics at work.
