The Automation and Intelligent Systems (AIS) Division at University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI) is seeking a skilled researcher to join our team as a postdoc Postdoctoral Research Associate or Research Scientist III (RS3), depending on level of experience. In this role, you will assist with research and development projects in the areas of robotics, machine learning, control systems, and computer vision. Applicants should have expertise in at least two of the four aforementioned fields.
General Responsibilities:
• Design and analysis of algorithms for machine learning, estimation and control and/or computer vision.
• Experimental validation of algorithms on hardware platforms
• Identify relevant funding opportunities; contribute to or lead writing efforts (proposals, publications, reports, presentations, etc.)
• Supervise junior staff, students, and interns
• Participate in developing academic and industry collaborations
Postdoc Qualifications:
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant engineering or science discipline, or graduation in the near future.
• Background in machine learning, control theory and/or computer vision.
