The Swarm Intelligence Lab - in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University, is now looking to fill two fully funded Ph.D. positions.
We conduct fundamental research in the area of dynamical systems and control theory with an emphasis on distributed network systems, collective animal behavior, swarm intelligence, and robot autonomy.
The successful candidates are expected to conduct research in data-driven modeling and control of collective animal behavior with application in swarm robotics and power systems.
Positions are available for Fall 2023.
Candidates are required to have a B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or any related areas. Candidates must have a strong background in mathematics and an interest in more than one of the following areas: controls, dynamical systems, data science, animal behavior, robotics, and optimization.
