We are offering a fully funded, fixed-term (2+2 years) Ph.D. position in the area of AI assisted engineering. You will develop and validate information models and AI methods to support the engineering of automation systems for complex manufacturing plants.
The position requires a Master's degree with above-average grades in a relevant discipline, such as automation engineering, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering. You should have a background in one or more of the following topics: AI, Industry 4.0, knowledge based systems, knowledge graphs, information modelling, Semantic Web, NLP.
Very good control of English is a must; knowledge of German is a strong advantage.
