Control Engineering Laboratory at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, is seeking for a post-doctoral researcher. The project is modeling and control of an integrated solar thermal system, in collaboration with a BC-based industrial partner and supported by MITACS Canada. The appointment is for one year, and the starting date is as soon as possible.
The applicants must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related area. We are interested in candidates who have strong background in dynamic systems and control, mechatronics, heat transfer, machine learning, with hands-on experiences using microcontrollers. Research experiences in the application of MPC to renewable energy systems would be ideal. We welcome and encourage applications from members of marginalized groups.
