We have a funded position for a PhD student to work on the general area of dynamical systems and control in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Southern Illinois University (SIU), Carbondale, IL, USA. The position is available as early as fall 2021, and contingent on satisfactory performance and fulfillment of the school requirements can be extended to the duration of study.
Applicants with a BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering are preferred but those with a background in physics or applied mathematics are also considered. An MS degree in a relevant field is a definite advantage but is not necessary. Applicants must demonstrate strong courage for independent theoretical and experimental research.
Interested applicants are invited to send their application or inquiries to Dr. Arash Komaee at akomaee@siu.edu. An application package includes a Curriculum Vitae, a brief description of the applicant’s research interests, the GRE score, and the TOEFL/IELTS score for international applicants.
