How can we ensure transport safety and efficiency, in a society where sustainability considerations become more and more important?
With the advent of autonomous shipping technology, we are investigating the role in this for advanced decision support and autonomy over water, including autonomous ship technology, and ship-to-ship, ship-to-infra, and ship-to-port interactions.
Within this project you investigate together with the RAS researchers (http://rasdelft.nl/) and societal stakeholders new smart operational control strategies for collaborative autonomous shipping, integrating navigation rules, information exchange, and machine-human interaction.
