Multiple Ph.D. student positions are available in Dr. Javad Velni’s research group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. Research topics encompass the fields of nonlinear control theory, autonomy, and artificial intelligence with a focus in applications such as precision agriculture, unmanned systems, and manufacturing. Strong background in optimization theory, nonlinear control and/or machine learning is desired.
Applicants with a strong academic record, work ethic and passion to conduct research in learning-based control theory are desired. The start date for the positions is Spring 2023 or Fall 2023.
