Dr Jianglin Lan is looking for strong PhD candidates to work in the areas include but are not limited to:
- Low-carbon machine learning techniques
- Safe and robust autonomy
- Monitoring and verification of learning-enabled systems
- Data-driven control
- Fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control
The students will be based at the Division of Autonomous Systems & Connectivity at School of Engineering, University of Glasgow. Funding is available irrespective of the nationality through a competitive process. The next deadline for the School-funded Scholarship applications to start in October 2022 is 31 May 2022. Self-funded students are also encouraged to apply.
The candidate must have a Bachelor/MSc degree in mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, as well as good written and spoken communication skills. Previous research experience in control, optimisation and machine learning is desirable but not essential.
