Applications are invited for two PhD positions in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Memphis, for Fall 2022/Spring 2023 semesters.
Successful candidates are expected to carry out research in one or more of the areas: control systems, distributed and safe control design, robotics, large-scale systems, power systems.
Required: A Master's degree in in Electrical Engineering; Strong background in control theory, machine learning or robotics; Excellent programming skills; Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
Preferred: Experience in model-based or learning-based control theory; Hands-on experience in robotic systems; Demonstration of research (conference or journal papers) activities.
