Two PhD positions are available in data-driven and learning control in the School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus. The emphasis of this research is on data-driven control for safety critical applications. Successful candidates are expected to develop and evaluate learning control algorithms and perform experimental validation of methods.
Requirements:
- Motivated researcher with interest in learning control and algorithm development
- MSc in a relevant field of studies (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, AI)
- Familiarity with control systems and background in control system courses is beneficial, MSc in systems and control is preferred.
- Candidates need to meet UBC admission requirements (Eligibility Requirements (ubc.ca))
PhD candidates will receive CAD 24.000 annually, with potential increases for additional responsibilities or scholarships received.
