The main objective of this PhD thesis consists in developing mathematical conditions, as well as numerical tests, that guarantee a pre-specified behavior in networks of interacting systems with a given structure. This project will rely on the extension of control theory techniques, suited for the modular analysis of nonequilibrium behaviors, as well as, extensive use of tools from graph theory and nonsmooth techniques for guaranteeing robustness, tractability, and computational efficiency for simulation and implementation of the interaction laws.
