As part of growing Data Science department at DMG, we are seeking a Data Scientist who is passionate about the data and thrives in a fast-paced environment to have a positive impact on the DMG business and the society. Data Science department develops tools, technologies, models to solve business problems and provide actionable insights by leveraging the large, complex datasets and domain expertise. Data Science department works in close coordination with other cross-functional business departments such as Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Product and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
• Proposes, designs, and develops (including coding) predictive and prescriptive solutions
• Able to translate requirements into detailed functional specifications
• Investigates, analyzes, preprocesses large structured and unstructured datasets; performs necessary checks for reasonableness, completeness and accuracy.
• Develops, trains, validates, updates, and deploys the machine learning models to satisfy business and technical requirements
• Automating an end-to-end process from procuring the raw data to converting into actionable insights (decisions, monitoring, etc.)
• Contributes to the architecture and design for scalable and efficient model deployments, including automated data model pipelines
• Communicates models, model results, and insights to internal stakeholders
• Understands, follows, and support internal and external compliance requirements/standards
• Creates and maintains productive relationships within the DMG technical community; keeps current with technology, methods, and best practices; participates in peer reviews and educating internal stakeholders
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics/applied statistics, computer science or related quantitative field; advanced degree (Masters or PhD) is a plus
• 5+ years demonstrated experience designing, coding, developing, testing, and implementing predictive and prescriptive solutions at the product or enterprise level
• Proficient with machine learning and deep learning techniques for both structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, e.g., Regression, SVM, PCA, NLP, regression/decision trees, image processing/modeling
• Proficient with data-science deployment using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Proficient in AI/ML models, libraries, packages, tools, and frameworks e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, MXNet, Skikit-learn, Keras, Jupyter.
• Proficient in mechanisms to extract and prepare data from diversified internal and external data sources (real-time or offline) using SQL, Python, Restful APIs
• Proficient in containerization, virtual environments, integrated development environments, devOps techniques, data mining, streaming, and data analysis and visualization tools, e.g., Docker, Conda, Kaftka, Spark, Power BI
• Works effectively in a team environment with high-level of accountability
• Familiarity with data filtering, data cleansing, and outlier detection techniques
• Experience in control and optimization techniques (mixed integer linear programming, convex optimization, constraints satisfaction problem, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to handle and manage multiple concurrent assignments efficiently
• Prior experience in facility management, HVAC, or services-based business is a bonus
