Prof. Prabir Barooah's research group (dicelab.mae.ufl.edu) has an open position for a postdoctoral scholar.
Candidates are expected to have a PhD in engineering, specializing in control/optimization/MPC/RL, and knowledge/experience of HVAC systems/smart building control. Some experience with experimental work is highly desired.
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to help with experimental demonstration of MPC on a living laboratory, a commercial building HVAC system, in the University of Florida campus. An example is the algorithm described in the paper: Model Predictive Control-Based Hierarchical Control of a Multi-Zone Commercial HVAC System
