I am looking for PhD students and postdocs to join my group at Purdue University! My group focuses on the intersection of control theory and machine learning for distributed decision making in large-scale cyber-physical-human systems, with applications to transportation networks, power grids, and interdependent infrastructures (see attached image for details). Ideally, I am looking for candidates with (i) a strong mathematical background in control theory, optimization, or machine learning, and an interest in the applications of these areas to large-scale networks, and (ii) experience in coding for machine learning/control systems in Python or MATLAB. Please visit sivaranjanis.com/openings to learn more, and reach out to me at sseetha [at] purdue [dot] edu.
If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in my group, please apply to the Purdue IE graduate program, and mention me in your research statement. Please also send me an email with your CV and the research areas in my group that interest you. If you are interested in pursuing a postdoc, email me directly with your CV and research interests. Applications to the Fall '22 PhD program at Purdue are due December 15, 2021!
