Applicants will be considered at all ranks and are being sought in areas with emphases on multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and crosscutting activities. Faculty candidates in the broad research area of dynamical systems and control are being targeted, with a research focus on multi-agent network systems including, but not limited to: underwater, ground and aerial robotic systems; human-in-the-loop systems; mechatronics systems from novel sensors to actuator design; and intelligent manufacturing. It is expected that candidates leverage the fundamentals of control theory and ideally integrate model-based approaches with data-driven techniques to address pressing societal needs, for example, in security and health. A clear demonstration of this research focus with connections to advancing the Mechanical Engineering discipline is important.
