The Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in the area of operations research. While a more senior position is possible, the anticipated rank is assistant professor.
Position overview
The successful applicant will be expected to deepen and complement existing ISE departmental strengths, to develop and maintain an active research program, to develop and deliver compelling undergraduate and graduate courses, to support and enhance the reputation of the department, and be an active participant in the industrial engineering community. Research leadership is expected, including the ability to attract federal funding and industrial partnerships to sustain a vibrant research program.
Candidates with technical skills in simulation and stochastics are of particular interest, but all technical specializations will be considered. Application areas of interest include but are not limited to data analytics, energy systems, health care, the sharing economy, supply-chain management, production systems, and the study of issues pertaining to race, inclusion, and social equity in these application areas.
Required Qualifications
Applicants are required to hold a Doctoral degree in operations research, or a closely related field.
